This is a gem. Pent up songwriter gets her first crack at having a whole album to herself, and she does not disappoint. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

Listened to it once today, but I was partially distracted by helping Mom make apple crisp. So I'll give it another go today. The title track is one of the pair's best tracks.

Not to be too picky, but there is no title track on this album.... _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

Pretty mediocre listening day today. New Pixies EP, some Brook Benton comp', some Ken Boothe comp', a re-listen of Faces' A Nod..., a Toyah comp' that's interesting but irritating in the end...
However, two records stood out, two new listens: Magna Carta's Seasons (1970) is a hippie folk concept LP verging on prog that I thought I was never going to like and is actually very pleasant ; and Omar's Best By Far (2000) was a real surprise (mind you, I only knew the one hit beforehand). The latter is my album of the day.
A beautiful, and surprisingly undervalued, folk duo album. Great from start to finish. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

Because I think it says a lot about an album when you've heard it a gazillion times and you still wake up in the morning wanting to hear it. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold
