Thanks guys ๐ Plenty to listen to now. I'll give the rec from Lethal a listen first because I have a copy of it waiting on my laptop already.

You liked Sigh's In Somniphobia right? Imaginary Sonicscape is their other really solid 2000's release. Lots of retro/prog/psychedelic keyboards in it.
Corrupted are imo one of the occasional times post-rock influences worked decently in a metal band. El Mundo Frio is super long (one 70 minute track) and droney, but worth it.
And In Somniphobia is craziness. Fantastic album. I love listening to it just because of how interesting all of the sounds and ideas on it are alone. I'll check out their earlier stuff ๐
Same with El Mundo Frio, never heard of that one before.
And thanks for your recs Gowienczyk ๐ I've heard the Kayodot, but not the rest, so I'll do that. All sound interesting ๐ _________________ Doubles & Conch
Does anyone have any metal recommendations for me?
Like, recent, 2003-now era metal. I like Mastodon, Uncle Acid, Shel*, Baroness, Agalloch, stuff like that.
I don't like metal sounding too post-hardcore. I prefer post-rock/ prog/ folk/ psychedelic/ stoner sort of vibes in it. So, not too much screaming vocals, but rather more melodic.
EDIT: And anything shoegaze-y like Deafheaven would be cool too.
I know it's very surprising I've search loads of sadcore & indie folk and found nothing like them. Oh well, makes them that more special. Thanks for those recs though I'll be on them in the next week. _________________
That Russian Circles album is pretty good ๐ I should have mentioned them in bands that I was looking out for.
I've seen the cover of The Ocean a few times around... I never really thought of what kind of music it was ๐ Will check out though ๐ _________________ Doubles & Conch
Richard Bona - Munia: The Tale (bit less crazy though)

The Pyramids - Lalibela
And from last year:

Monoswezi - The Village
I've only heard one track from this album, but I plan to listen to the rest soon. It's what you might be looking for though ๐ _________________ Doubles & Conch
I've heard quite a few YLT albums (though not this one) and also the Spiritualized album, but I've not heard Sparklehorse yet, thanks! ๐ If anyone has anything else, don't hesitate to throw them at me!
