Not this year. I thought about it, but it's tough for me to take that time from work and SXSW is a bit insane. although I wouldn't mind the warmer weather and bbq
I think my boy Christopher Paul Stelling is playing the fest for his 3rd straight year, but might end up canceling due to the costs of getting down there and all that.

I will be in attendance. At least for a few days. Yes, Austin is a mad house this time of year, but if you treat it like a raging river with out any set agenda, and just go with the flow. It's a great time. At least for the ppl just visiting. 🤣

I'll PM you my phone number if you want to meet up for lunch and/or a few beers. I'm trying to get into the North Door on the 15th to see Dam-Funk and Madlib but beyond that I'll just be chillin' in south Austin not dealin' with the crowds.

Ignoring my old comments on the plague of crowds, I'm seeing X, Black Angels, Tyler the Creator, et al. tonight, Viet Cong (from the ashes of Women), Kelela, et al. tomorrow, and Madlib, Prince Paul, Dam Funk, Jonwayne, and Peanut Butter Wolf on Saturday ~~~

Tonight I witnessed the most fucked up thing I hope I ever have to in person.
The gf got off work late so we couldn't make it to the Black Angels, X, Tyler show early enough to get in. We ended up standing just outside the patio where they were all playing. Part way through the X show I heard a bang and a bunch of screams right behind us and looked around to see a car on the next block going full speed, hit two cyclists, scrape against a row of parked cars, and continue into a crowd of pedestrians. On the block I was on, there were a handful of people on the street; everyone I saw on that block regained consciousness in a few minutes but as of now there are two dead.
It just puts a pit in your stomach. Prayers out to Austin's injured.

I'm glad no one from BEA was hurt 🙁 And I hope you aren't too shaken up purple.. That must be horrible to witness. I'm glad you're not in the ones injured though.

I second this. Seeing crap like that can have a greater impact than you'd realize. Keep an eye on how you're doing.
And my thoughts are with the dead and injured. Drunk driving is a curse on our society.
