Need/would like some recs of albums along this lines. I'm really loving this album. I love the rough yet beautifully written songs. I love the mile a minute pace of the album just switching from idea to idea ... Anyway, stuff like this, like really great and IT CAN BE SUPER OBVIOUS and it can be just that the album has a similar vibe but isn't the same genre necessarily Classics are okay (example: if you wanted to rec me Slanted and Enchanted that is totally fine.) Okay... Shoot!
This young man here named Uriah Shelton spends more time in the acting field so a full album from him has yet to be made and released, but a little bit of music has been done by him so far and the three following songs are his more recent recordings. ๐๐๐
P.S. You can hear his earlier singing in the independent film named Lifted which was released in 2010. ๐๐๐ _________________ Me & my favorite singer James Otto

Especially the switching from idea to idea is spot on as there are 24 tracks in a regular album's length (including a lot of short instrumental interlude crap as well). Some of the catchiest songs you'll ever hear, at times extremely Beatlesque, perhaps not lo-fi enough compared to Guided by Voices, may be annoyingly catchy or too cheesy, but shares the same sporadic feel and abundance of ideas. Personally I'd find it hard to believe if anyone didn't enjoy this album, at least a little! _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal
I'm listening to Cut 4 Me by Kelela and really adoring it, can I have recs of albums in a similar style? I guess this is just r&b? Anyways, thanks in advance. ๐

Knew Geevy would come through for me! ๐ Thank ya.
Edit: Those were all spot on! I liked all of them and loved most of them. I'd rank them (including Cut 4 Me) something like:
1. Cut 4 Me by Kelela
2. Pull My Hair Back by Jessy Lanza
3. Winter Diary's 2 by Tink
4. Crisis by Natasha Kmeto
I didn't finish Saint Heron, not because I didn't like it, but because my mood suddenly changed (no not mood swings, it was prompted by something lol) but so far it would have been between Jessy Lanza and Tink. I'll finish it some other time.
