EVOL by Sonic Youth Chart: Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by yepyepyep Rank on User's Chart: 2 Year: 1986 Rank on BEA Overall: 730 Average Rating: 80/100 Summary Info: The third studio album by alternative rock band, Sonic Youth. This was a major transitional album for the band, showcasing their first move away from the overtly anti-commercial no wave movement. This album is probably a tie with Washing Machine but I Had to select one. My favourite type of Sonic Youth is the more loose songwriting with really brittle guitar as demonstrated in EVOL. How are you gonna include Experimental Jet Set with "The Rest"? That album deserves better

Is not good for me. I don't like it. It is the rest for me (I really prefer A thousand leaves than it). It's better than NYC ghosts & Flowers though

And I wasn't with so much time to type all the albums.

That's hard to imagine since it's pretty consistent to the sound of the other early 90s SY albums Washing Machine, Dirty and Goo, and it contains one of their biggest singles (if not the biggest)
