This live album, recorded between 1980 and 1981, was released in 1987 as a tribute to guitarist Randy Rhodes, who had died 5 years earlier. It was Rhodes who gave Osborne's career new life, and the two were extremely close. The spirit of this album is special, and while Rhodes live may have relied a bit too much on that single high squealing note, he was also really an exceptional player (the studio version of "Crazy Train" is one of the most exciting guitar tracks ever recorded). This is truly a tribute, and kudos to Ozzy for releasing it.

Sometimes, I feel like this gets lost in the love for Elephant...I think that White Blood Cells is just as fine. Thank God for Jack White...his spirit helps keep a lot of great music alive.
