I've been going through Mr. Zappa's discography lately, and I'm still impressed by how prolific he was - at least thirty-five studio albums before he passed away, not to mention all the live recordings that have been released, and all the material that's been released since his passing. It's not all to my tastes - most of his stuff so far has been too avant-garde/dissonant/fuckin' weird for me - but it's not all bad; Hot Rats was pretty awesome, for instance, and I liked Chunga's Revenge quite a bit.
Anyway, this is a pretty good record! I'm still listening to it, but my favorite song so far is "Big Swifty", the slightly-lengthy opener. (Thankfully I have the musical attention span to appreciate longer-length songs!) It's pretty good, just a lot of Zappa and co. jammin' out and having a good time, which is something I can always appreciate. _________________ Makeshift Jukebox (my tumblr)
