Nice suggestions so far, guys! There are some suggestions of which I'd never even heard (which is exactly what I'd hoped would happen)!

Keep them coming! ๐Ÿ˜

A recent discovery of mine, very great sunshine pop with slight psychedelic overtones. Kinda like Odessey And Oracle, thought possibly less joyful. Incredible songwriting on display here, I think it should fit your tastes.

YEP! I agree with you 100% I didn't list this one, but it definitely IS a favorite of mine and fits the category perfectly! ๐Ÿ˜

WHOAH! Lots of suggestions! I've never heard Grapefruit...but, I just ordered it on CD purely based on it's appearance with some others that I already adore on your list. Thanks! I'll let you know what I think of it when it gets here! (Sorry, I'm old-fashioned. I like my music on CD or vinyl.)

By the way, I'm very impressed with the Peppermint Trolley Company suggestion. How many of you out there knew/remember that they were the ones who performed the Brady Bunch theme during its early days (before the Brady Kids took it over)?

As someone who was raised on old tv, this is really interesting! I knew it changed but had no idea why/from who, I'll have to check them out for sure then ๐Ÿ˜‰ This isn't really my genre, but there's some cool stuff out there, or at least, some that I very much enjoy, as evidenced (I hope) by my posting here.

A few more albums which weren't mentioned before and I love:

Soft Machine - self-titled (1968), Volume Two (1969) and Third (1970). The latter one is more jazz fusion/experimental, but the first two albums are more prog-rock/canterbury rock with more psychedelic elements. My favourite wold be their first album, which is the only one with Kevin Ayers on it.

The Soft Machine by Soft Machine

Volume Two by Soft Machine

Third by Soft Machine

One of my favourite psychedelic bands is Jefferson Airplane, they released a couple of great albums. I am sure you already heard most of them:

their most famous one and one of the nicest which came out of the Summer of '67 era:

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane

their most acid rock release:

After Bathing At Baxter's by Jefferson Airplane

more folk rockish and obscure:

Crown Of Creation by Jefferson Airplane

country, rock n roll, psychedelic and folk mixture:

Volunteers by Jefferson Airplane

Probably my favourite psychedelic folk album. This is a magical journey:

The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by The Incredible String Band

We're Only In It For The Money by The Mothers of Invention

Ars Longa Vita Brevis by The Nice

In Search Of The Lost Chord by The Moody Blues

Traffic by Traffic

Mr Fantasy by Traffic

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly

A Slice Of Cake by The Cake

Music In A Doll's House by Family

Da Capo by Love

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service

No Way Out by The Chocolate Watchband

More of a garage-rock feel to it (if that doesn't bother you), but still has plenty of psychedelic goodness to it.

I hope you like Grapefruit! I really I think Around Grapefruit is a must listen for any Beatles fan (they actually got some support by the fab four, John Lennon even named the band).

I agree with everyone's suggestions so far. I didn't see this one, so I'll add it. I love this album you'd think it was made in the 60's.

Sun Structures by Temples

EDIT: Another one that hasn't been listed.

The Who Sell Out by The Who
