Our Love by Caribou
You may remember - although you probably don't and certainly shouldn't - me moaning about this album a few weeks back, when it first leaked. I thought it was coffee table house, the sort of album that Guardian readers who think they're musically adventurous because they like and own both Dark Side of the Moon and Dummy, and listen to BBC Radio 6 on a daily basis, might buy and then tell all their friends about, calling it "forward-thinking" and "just great to relax to with a nice glass of Rioja", or some other bollocks. But, since then, it's been released to widespread critical acclaim, and given that I'm a fan of Snaith's earlier works I figure I should probably give it another chance or two. But I was probably right the first time. I usually am when it comes to these things. (Don't worry, you'll all abandon Todd Terje soon enough.)
