Hey folks! Suede needs some funky, jazzy no wave recs sounding something like these:

Buy by James Chance & The Contortions

Press Color by Lizzy Mercier Descloux

Also, as a side note, any twee pop you can recommend me would be great. Check my indie pop chart to see what I've listened to. Anything not on there I haven't listened to.

EDIT: oh, and Cristina ft. Kevin Cline:

Which remionds me to tell you you might want to have a go at some Kid Creole. Not disco per se though.

Random albums that roughly run in the same-ish category:

Come Away With ESG by ESG

Slip And Out Of Phenomenon by Liquid Liquid

Thermonuclear Sweat by Defunkt

There's nothing quite like James Chance, but why not try

Just bought tickets for Klaxons and Allo Darlin', for this Sunday and 19th November respectively. I am a very happy chappy right now.

Anybody know the best starting album for getting into Captain Beefheart? I'm not a fan of Safe as Milk or Trout Mask Replica.

Safe as M.. oh...

I guess you should also check Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller). Strikes a perfect balance between his eccentricies and accessible side.

If you don't like either of those I don't think you'll like any albums of his. Well, regardless, these are good:

Doc At The Radar Station by Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band

Lick My Decals Off, Baby by Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band

Thanks. I'll start with one of these later.

This is a very young age to go to concert. Would you feel safe?
