I think they are as popular.
Cartoken, Jhereko, Mooseboy, you and Myself all voted Simon and Garfunkel
I don't think they ever released a "great" Album though or a least nothing that compared to other bands form that period. |
bookends is almost always in my greatest top 50 albums of all time, so I'm gonna have to disagree with that . 😄

Had I thought it through more, I probably would've picked Boards of Canada or Godsped You! Black Emperor, since they have a wider appeal.
And if it were a match between the two videos, I would easily have voted for Simon & Garfunkel. The Sound of Silence has always been one of my favourite songs. |
to be honest I'm kinda glad we have some bands its easy to vote against maybe I mean If we had boards of canada up in here I'd probably have an aneurysm from the stress of trying to pick who to vote for 🤣

I'll take a stab at that. Simon and Garfunkel are sort of square. You never hard of them doing drugs, saying anything controversial, they didn't come from a DIY working class background, even during the 60's they were acceptable for adults, they wrote kind of sophisticated songs with very sophisticated adult themes... Mainly, Simon and Garfunkel made great music, but they were never really cool like The Beatles, Dylan, or The Stones, for example. |

IMO Art Garfunkel was the coolest. Way cooler than Keith Richards, Dylan and Lennon 🤥
