Just thought to create a thread where everyone can discuss about user charts in this site. Personally I created a little Top 10 overall chart a couple of months ago, had some unexpectedly positive feedback and while I am not sure if I will change it in the future I deleted it so that my new one would be extended to 50 entries. This doesn't make much sense, I know, but I'm seriously rediscovering 10-15 albums I have not yet rated and ranked in my overall "Albums I have listened to" list and it's possible to have at least one new entry to this Top 10 of mine, so Urban Hymns will be kicked out or not... Still, I had to do it to make this necessary extension of my chart in the future.

I was really counting Scotland, and I guess Northern Ireland. Both are parts of the UK, despite being separate "countries."

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Wales. I included those three because a vast majority of bands come from common England.

Might be interesting to see charts of favourite albums from each US state or something as well - might be pretty tough though, I think I'd only be able to fill in about half of them at the moment...

Yes I know how the UK works.

What I mean is... it's not really a world chart if you include so much of the Anglosphere.

Still, it's just a chart. I can do what I feel is necessary with it. I'm not going to exclude every English-speaking album. I know it needs work, in fact I'd like to find a lot of other albums to knock off the excess of Germany from the chart. I appreciate the feedback, but I don't see why there has to be specific rules for a world chart, rules that apply to everyone. And I'm not including "so much of the anglosphere." Let's take a look at this map where the darker blue represents the Anglosphere.

I exclude America, and Canada. That makes for more than half of the Anglosphere. If you want, I can knock off Australia, but the tiny little bit there isn't something to cry about. If you mean "so much" as in the amount of albums I have from that tiny little blue spot in Europe, I suppose I have more Irish than desired.

While I didn't agree with a lot of the choices on your chart JMan, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Dubliners album on there, which in my opinion certainly is relevant for a 'world' chart. You may be interested in Planxty also if The Dubliners are your thing.
