Anyways, I have had miraculous results with a special type of Chi Kung this year which I went all the way to Malaysia to learn as a last-ditch Hail Mary. And it worked! It wasn't a cure as advertised but it did restore nerve function and alleviate my crippling pain which is truly miraculous in itself. So now I'm hoping it will work again. (A disciple of the school is located in Gainesville.) Wish me luck, guys!!! I need it!!!
Keep hanging in there Jeff. I think it's great that you're looking for musical therapy in the form of albums that may give you a more optimistic view of the world. I know that much of our favorite music likes to settle in its own misery, and that can become infectious.
My charts may be overloaded with despair and melancholy, but there's also some of that euphoric hope and positive vibes you seek out.
I find William Onyeabor's discography to be incredibly uplifting. Also some Studio One hits by the likes of Heptones and Desmond Dekker could bring you positive vibrations.
Currently listening to the BIG music of the Waterboys' This Is The Sea. I always have a tough time with overly bombastic bordering on cheesy music, but I'm determined to get into this type of aspirational, life-is-grand & miraculous music in 2015 as yet another last ditch, desperate attempt to stay alive. There are some who believe that the type of music you listen to can directly impact your health. I'lll try anything. LOL.
Speaking of which, I'm heading to Gainesville, Florida this Wednesday because I've gone back into urinary retention and dealing with severe gastroparesis. The nerves to my bladder and intestine are not working right and it essentially it feels like I have a dead baby in my stomach. Not much fun. xp

Oh, & feel free to drop some BIG music recs here. You know, anything that is aspirational and lends to the feeling that miracles can happen. Because I need to truly believe that I can get out of this motherfucking jam. I'll eventually make a chart of the music that saved my life. :D
Best of luck with everything, man, we're all here for you if there's anything we can do for ya. San Fermin's pretty great, it's rather large to me, maybe not quite the same as you're looking for but for me, there's something almost religious about their music, something miraculous. IDK. I'll try and think of something better for you, I suppose. In the mean time, best of luck. _________________
Yours truly with alelsupreme on a Ferris wheel in Manchester yesterday afternoon. Sorry for the super late selfie upload ๐
Oh, also, I hope you get well soon, Jeff. I can't even imagine to think of the severe pain you must be feeling, so I shan't try and sympathise. I'm not very good at this empathy thing so I'll just say that I hope you get well, and you are on my mind in good will. Have some Ronettes, and do check out my indie pop chart...
Just back after a 13-hour drive from Nashville. Not recommended with an infant and two-year-old. Wouldn't recommend flying either though so... hovercraft?
First time ever ice skating today. Went exactly as expecting. AKA lost a chunk of my left hand that'll scar up nice when I fell and a friend fell intentionally to catch my head, in flailing hit her blade. Good friend to keep me from absolutely getting destroyed, my fault for hitting her blade. _________________

I think there's some points in life where it doesn't matter how you're traveling, it's gonna be a nightmare no matter what. I've got a 31 hours drive with two cats coming up when I move to New Mexico. Looking forward to moving, but not with two cats in the back seat. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
Upon awakening this morning, my two year old daughter spoke one of her first articulate and clearly enunciated sentences sentences...
"Daddy's almost dead."
My wife & I asked looked at each other aghast and asked her to repeat it both praying that we had misunderstood. Both praying that she had said something else. But, nope. Just as clearly she said...
"Daddy's almost dead" yet again.
My wife and I are not superstitious people BUT we are both positively SPOOKED! WTF! I feel like I'm in a horror movie now. ๐
This is NOT the the kind of sign I was looking for. How the fuck do I get this out of my memory. I already felt fucked. I can't believe that this just happened. ๐

Yikes. This really has to be troubling as a father. I can't imagine the feeling. I think the only thing you can do is stay alive psychologically. Don't let yourself be removed from your life and family until you've been given no choice. If you fall into a depression, it helps no one. I'm not sure how well I'm articulating what I'm saying. I guess I just mean to fight it with liveliness. Keep providing your family with the best possible you, the version of you that you want them to always know and remember. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
