I haven't listened to nearly as much as most BEA members and probably never will. That's half the reason I'm constantly displeased/reworking my chart. It might never be finished. I seem to be remarkably talented at wasting time, so I never have enough left to balance all my hobbies. It's no secret that I take long, sudden breaks from BEA. This is because it's not really worth my time so much. I go through phases like a teenager. Sometimes I'll have a month's stretch where I prioritise music, sometimes I'll suddenly have the impulse to watch lots of movies. But honestly I don't think I've ever been at a point where I was listening to a new album every day. I get stuck on albums. When I find one I think I might love, I drown myself in it for days. New music is constantly competing with old favourites for my attention. I just have to deal with the fact that I'll never be spectacularly well-listened.

Your thoughts and music listening habits are so similar to mine's. 😄

Though I don't need long and sudden breaks from BEA, I often don't have time or opportunity to listen to many albums or just share my thoughts about albums in comments here in BEA. On workdays I usually listen to only songs on my way to work or one album in the evening. Sometimes I listen to music at my workplace, but I only listen to albums I already know, because when I have to concentrate on working I can't concentrate on another thing which is new to me.
I like to discover a new album when I'm at home, lying in my bed and pay attention carefully to the music itself. I also like to read the lyrics, but it also takes several listens to read it, listen to it, understand it (sometimes translate it) and get into it.
Then, when an album is already familiar to me, I can listen to it while I do housework, I go for a walk etc.

But, similar to Alex, I couldn't listen to new albums every day, I rather stuck to albums. I get into one album and listen to it every day for a week. In other cases, I also have phases, sometimes am so hungry for new music that I can listen to eight albums a day, but this only happens on weekends. And I know that when I listen to many albums a day then after a couple of days I tend to forget what I listened to, I only remember which albums was great/good/average/bad. So yeah I'm a slow person who forgets things.

It may sound silly but sometimes I don't know what to listen to, because I can't decide what to choose, the variety of music is endless so sometimes I keep thinking so much what to choose that I end up listening to nothing.

Update: I scaled back to 1-4 new albums a day, sometimes I'll hit 5.

Sometimes during school I'll get one listened to. Usually when doing (home)work, I'll listen to one (today, I'll hit two or more!). Before I go to sleep, I'll listen to as many as need be, usually two.

For the past few days, as eyezayzay said, I've been talking to the BEA peeps, so the nighttime listening has ceased for the time being.

Listening to music is pretty much all I do. For every second of the day, if I don't have to use my ears for anything else, I literally just use them for music.
