Going through the list now, and in the 50s it was just like 6 of them. But then once it got into the late sixties and 70s it was a huge number that I've listened to. Pretty close to all of them but not quite. It's going to take awhile to go through the rest of the list. I wonder how it will turn out.

I own physical copies of 426. I've heard many of the ones I don't own yet. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

yeah. I don't agree with a lot of these picks at all. It's not bad. It's just not good either. A lot of dreck. I'd put my trust more in something you guys came up with than a lot of these shitty selections. The stuff you guys picked from 1991 destroys this stuff.
Peace!

It may sound silly, but getting this book from the library really got me into looking for more music. I know ive listened to at least 85% or more of the albums in here. Its a pretty decent start for people who want to start listening to new stuff.

I like the book. It has really good full page photographs. Think I must have an earlier edition as I got it before some of these albums were released. I've heard 302 albums on the list.

Nothing silly about that. I think it's important for books and other media like this exist. I would look for and through books like this all the time when Borders was open. I learned a lot and was exposed to countless great artists, even if it took me years to listen to their work. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

I have an edition of this book from about 2007. I want to buy the 2016 edition with Bowie on the cover, but the store is having difficulty getting it in. I'm hoping it's not out of print. Maybe there's a new edition coming?
I did notice that there was a 1001 songs before you die book. Maybe that's evidence of the shrinking attention span of humanity?

I'm at 341, which apparently puts me in the top 6%. Many of those I have heard don't belong on the list though. In general I agree with Tilly. _________________ Join us in the canon game :) / Add me on RYM
