i am a complete moron and did very little to connect the dots cleanly with Industrial music proper. there are a lot of ethos and stylistic similarities, but the distinction is that Industrial Techno does, in fact, err more on the side of techno (same as Industrial Rock leaning more on rock music and thus having almost more to do with noise rock than with the avant-garde stylings of a Throbbing Gristle, for example, but that gets murky cause the parent genre of early industrial music is loosely punk rock being re-synthesized with mid-20th century art music). i'm gonna add a section to influences real quick to correct the error
There, the OP is fixed. This reminds me of an article I read recently that discussed the importance of proofreading and noted that it's actually very common to leave out the actual central thesis of an article before an editor takes a look and only sees digressions from a central point that isn't there. Thanks for pointing that out, Norman and dbz.
