Hmmm... I'm pretty excited. I think Dylan has always been a brilliant interpreter of songs. For this reason I really enjoy his Christmas album, also his debut is amazing and his 2 albums from the early 90s which were old folk and blues covers - As Good As I Been to You & World Gone Wrong - are masterful. He'll even the covers on his widely hated album Dylan from '73 were hilarious! Etc etc etc...

I don't particularly like the crooning music of Sinatra. But I think Dylan (being my hero) will find a way to make it good. We shall see.

As for albums since Desire, uuuhhh ...I can think of lots of great ones.

Yay for Bob Dylan!

finally mercury says something about this.

Mojo and The Guardian both gave it five stars. I'm genuinely looking for a bookie that'll let me put a tenner on it being Rolling Stone's AOTY.

They only gave it 4/5 stars. 😮

Still wouldn't bet against you, though.

I really like it. Easily one of the five best albums I've heard so far this year, and probably Bob's best since Love & Theft. So there.

Ugh, now I'll definitely have to listen. If it turns out to be widely loved by the BEA forum regulars, I'm not sure I'd bet on it topping Rolling Stone's list. 🤔
