Lovely stuff. My new number 1 in what has so far been a delightful start to the year.

Nice rec this Pat. I'm sticking this right in the BEAutiful chart.

Keep an eye out for Fireworks' debut, Switch Me On, which comes out tomorrow. Managed to pre-order it on vinyl from Rough Trade a little while back - if it's as good as their singles it'll be a zinger. As will the new J.Gru LP.

Black Moon Days by Joanne Robertson

Very good folk album from a Dean Blunt collaborator. Reminds me of Grouper sort of, but less ambient inclined. Very pretty, very good.

Just be careful of the last track because it gets super loud really quickly and blows your ears out.

Kath Bloom's new album is fucking excellent. So, y'know, listen to that.

I've been meaning to listen to this. Would you be able to send a copy (or link) over? I can't seem to find it.

She sounds like 70 years old. How old is she?

She's probably around that age. She's about the same age as Vashti Bunyan probably.

Her voice and face are a complete match. I've seen several people with similar faces that have that exact same voice.

Glad to hear you liked it, I'm hooked, just listened to it through there again.

Cheers for that Fireworks rec, listening to their singles now and I'm really enjoying them, the album's gonna be well worth a listen.
