A very personal ping-pong affair around folk in all its many wonderful guises - from trad to the folkiest of folk-rock, to folk-prog and a little American Primitivism, to what some bright spark decided to coin 'New Weird America'. Don't start splitting hairs about which of the listed is folk and which isn't (simple answer - it all is), although you might notice a slightly more trad-folk flavour to this list than in something like Norm's wonderful "Normlore" chart, to which this is a distant cousin separated by a mere 19 miles of water between Dover and Calais. PERFECT FOR... A meander through the beautiful countryside around the Cambridgeshire/Lincolnshire/Norfolk border area, where ears of corn flutter gently in the breeze as you gaze upon miles and miles of open field with your ill-fitting duffle coat keeping you shielded from the elements.

PERFECT FOR... sitting round the campfire with your good lady/gentleman and practicing sumptuous harmonies whilst toasting marshmallows.

PERFECT FOR... An inter-railing trip around the East coast of England with your feet up on the chair in front of you, drifting away in bliss before the guard nudges you and has a go at making marks on the upholstery

PERFECT FOR... Out-of-season carol singing along the North Devon coast, where they've got this wonderful rustic steam railway and then down the road in Minehead the best collection of pinball tables in the whole of the West Country.

PERFECT FOR... Tempting our woodland friends (you know, shrews and that kind of thing) out of their habitats in order to present them all manner of treats, gifts and a hearty supply of berries and fruit to keep them warm throughout a bitter Hebridean winter.

PERFECT FOR... Standing in the wind, staring in wonderment at the vast expense of Rutland Water with shivers down your spine caused by a combination of awe and the rather inclement weather

PERFECT FOR... an intimate basement concert, likely somewhere in a northern mining town where the soot that once emanated from the collieries has left a blackened hue over everything in sight, from the top of the tennis ball factory down to the swings in the local park

Absolutely fantastic chart brimming with some personal favourite of mine; I ran a folk radio show (named What the Folk??: Ballads From A Thin Man) at my uni last year and used this chart as for recommendations. The 'perfect for' descriptors is a lovely touch too ... great stuff! (Edited)

@Jimmy Dread lol I even ctrl+f-ed it, guess I misspelt. Fantastic LP. Another thing just came to my mind, Willard Grant Conspiracy's Let It Roll, it's more like americana/folk stuff but great nonetheless. Check it if you haven't already.
