so i know this album is crazy acclaimed and everything, but i haven't listened to it until now, partially because everyone i know in real life (with decent to good taste) thinks it's shit and that its acclaim is a p4k conspiracy or sth.

A noisy mess that sounds absolutely fantastic that gets me to thinking along the lines of “why have I never heard of these guys before?” – I am honestly glad I was steered in the direction of this record because right from the beginning I fell in with the record. At times it reminds me of Tripping Daisy, Shudder to Think, and Dinosaur Jr which is great company for an alternative rock record to be in for me. This one will probably chart somewhere on my 80s chart or maybe I’ll get around to doing a loosely defined indie/alternative rock sort of thing. I don’t know, what I do know is I like this a lot and that is from only the first listen.
Very rarely do I think like this so soon into a record.
