For Dirty Three, i see a lot of people talking about Horse Stories. Great album, but I really prefer Cinder. More inventive, stirring, groovy. Nick Cave also deserves some mention, i've only just begun getting into him, haven't checked out the entire discography, but so far Boatman's Call is my favorite. So sad! lovely!

This is rather obvious. It's my #1 album of all time as of right now. I gotta go with it.



Although you could go with almost any Nick Cave album and I wouldn't argue much. I'd definitely argue with Murder Ballads. OP must be out of his head to call that Cave's serious contender. Hell, I'm out of my head, and I love MB.

I have only just got into Dirty Three but they've probably got my favorite non-Cave Australian album.
