Going into this I didn't know it was an instrumental album (and not so much a folk one), and I won't lie, that disappointed me a bit. There are a lot of points on the album where it starts building up and then just doesn't go anywhere which is also something I don't like. I guess I expected more. Even after writing all that though I still don't hate the album or anything, it is quite gorgeous, just not to the extent Armchair Apocrypha was. Very possible that this might grow on me too.

I've heard some of the Avett Brothers before, and to be honest I am really not a fan. I've never listened to an album though so I thought it was fair to give them a fair chance. Well... I was actually pleasantly surprised with this, it's a nice collection of folk songs. Still not the biggest fan, but it's definitely not bad.

Really loved this, and probably will be listening to it some more in the future. Nothing that new here, but really well done, and just a generally gorgeous album.

I feel like the best way to describe this album is "accessible", and because of that, I love it. In fact, it may be my favourite jazz album yet. That's not really saying a lot because I'm still sort of a noob to Jazz (and I'm also still working on that). Basically I feel like this is really good without being that weird, not that weird is a bad thing, but for someone just getting into jazz it's really good.

Another really good jazz album that I thoroughly enjoyed, again nothing too abscure here, but I really liked it.

Half of this album (first and third song) makes me think of sitting by the fire in the middle of winter with a cup of hot chocolate which I really like, but then the other half changes things up by going a bit faster which is cool. Overall, this was pretty nice.

This album is incredible. Can easily hold its own against Soft Bulletin, Yoshimi, and Clouds. As much as I liked this, I have a feeling that it may get better with every listen. For now it's taking the number one spot for the week, and is the album to beat.

I've actually had this in library for months now, don't know why it took me this long, but I'm glad I eventually got to it. I'm not big on trip hop, but this was great.

It's about time I listened to a LCD Soundsystem album that isn't Sound of Silver, and whether or not this is technically better or worse than Sound of Silver I have no idea, because admittedly I don't listen to LCD Soundsystem as much as I should. One thing I can say though, is that I think I enjoyed this more. You'll see below that my favourite tracks are "Dance Yrself Clean" and "All I Want" but don't be mistaken, all the tracks are really good.

Today was probably my favourite so far, I really enjoyed listening to everthing here. Tomorrow is indie, so I better get some sleep to be prepared for that.

Love this one dearly, it's my favorite Flaming Lips album and it's some of the most creative and interestingly layered albums I've ever heard. Glad you loved it so much.

Man is it ever, hearing it once certainly isn't enough, I'm going to have to return to this a lot in the future, there's just so much there.
