do you shop on the Canadian cause it's cheaper right now? Just out of curiosity

It was cheaper when I could cop a Blu for $3.

I adore their packaging, but I can never seem to get myself to dish out $30-$40 on a DVD.

You can order from B&N during their sales. Typically in July and November. Also the website has flash sales plus TCM.com and Best Buy often have sales of similar caliber.

I also prefer picking my own albums, rather than a random selection being sent to me 😕 Which... well... is literally the entire service. If they sent something that I hated, or already had, I'd obviously just give it to someone else, but I'd be kinda pissed.

You can make a deal with them where you can exchange the record of the month for something in their store. My friend did that with the Perfume Genius record. Saw a tweet also where someone got a different record because they didn't like Wilco's debut.

The only one I didn't like was the Youth Lagoon record, but she found a new home! 😄

Please tell me you didn't buy a bloody repress. Got the original for £1 (near mint too) last week from a boot fair.

Speaking of which, for 50p today I picked up an original UK press of...

Transformer by Lou Reed

I walked into a comic shop expecting to buy comics. Walked out with both Zenyatta Mondatta and Ghost in the Machine- The Police on vinyl. I only need Reggatta de Blanc and Outlandos d'Amour now, yay!

No no no, I very rarely buy represses (some exceptions). Typically ill try to limit myself to a few brand new (current year) records a year. Then maybe an other 5 or so new (past years) albums that are either hard to find or personal favorites. The rest are whatever i dig up at my local record store typically anywhere from $1-$5 a pop.

the blondie i think was 3.99 and the TMOE was 15.99

in fact my strict "guidelines" for vinyl purchases is the only reason Transformer is still not in my collection. Ill find it one of these days.
