Evermore: The Art Of Duality by The Underachievers

Pretty good rap album here. Precedent, this might be right up your alleyway.

Just back from a morning's shopping and as well as picking up the new Julia Holter LP (cheers to Mecca and JoD for playing/nattering about it in Plug - love it), I also picked up this which I only heard yesterday and ending up loving to bits:

Allas Sak by Dungen

If you ask me it's their best release since Ta Det Lungt - flute-tastic acid folk-psych-like. Great stuff.

A couple of others worth a listen if you're like me and prefer your haircut all fluffy and at right angles:

It Must Be Grubs by Grubs

2-parts Joanna Gruesome and one part brother of my cousin's girlfriend. Throwaway DIY indie-pop-punk nonsense

Why Choose by Shopping

Not out for a week or so, but really enjoying what I've heard. Post-punk in a similar vein to Trash Kit, whom I also adore.

Honeymoon by Lana Del Rey

why does she go out of her way to get more boring with every release

I dunno, I like to think of her new album as funeral doom pop. I think that's a much easier way to enjoy this album.

Lame is lame no matter what ridiculous adjectives you attempt to apply to it

no, Applerill has a point. i pretend Burzum is actually rasping about black empowerment and finding solutions to the plights of Jews worldwide that don't rely on continued imperial dominance of the middle east and western political interests in the region. "progressive political metal." it makes him much more enjoyable.

I liked Honeymoon a lot, but I can see what you mean. Its slower and more atmospheric, but it's definitely not my favorite of the three.
