I didn't really care too much for either the St. Vincent record or the Perfume Genius one, but this felt like one of the more open categories. If anything, I'm surprised that DeMarco won - his album was the slightest, breeziest record of these, the one which didn't seem at all concerned with making any kind of grand gesture or statement. Still, it's a lovely record (Mac's best), and I'm not at all disappointed with the result. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
