It's the standard - heard stories that the gold one's poorly pressed but understand it's worth a fair few bob. It's seriously worth a trip down the M1 to Spiral Archive (I'll certainly be going back again) - the guy who runs it (Alex I think) is a lovely guy and offered to make me a brew as I had a flick through. If I had more time and money I could have spent hours/loads more there - tons of stuff I passed up (including a bootleg MBV EP compy, originals of Nevermind and In Utero, and more Gigolo Aunts, Alien Sex Fiend, Danielle Dax, Loop and Shriekback than you can shake a stick at), but the 90s indie section as well as his punk/new wave bins are really well-stocked (got a load of Smiths/Morrissey 12"s as well if that's your thing). Bonus is there's a multi-storey car park next door with 2 hours free parking (or free all day on weekends) - they're open 11-4 Weds-Sat if you fancy a trip down. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing Folk 'n Stuff SHAMELESS RECORD DEALER PLUG

Yes that's what I've heard although a friend of mine has the gold pressing and says his is fine...I'm not a huge fan of coloured vinyl anyway, much prefer the good old black wax. 'Open 11-4'...that's the kind of hours I'd keep if I had my own record shop 😁
Anyway today I picked up a pristine copy of this. UK 1st press which I note features Cottonfields as the opening track which was an add on I guess.
And I'm right there with ya. Picked up original issues of Lounge Lizards' s/t and Big Heart, Grachan Moncur III's New Africa, and Lol Coxhill's Ear of the Beholder, which was a dj promo and made me wonder why they would ever try to play any of it on the radio. Never heard Big Heart, but I think it'd be hard for Sanko/Ribot to play poorly, and I've never heard New Africa, but it's between his highly praised Blue Note albums and his JCOA album, which I own and love and is currently on my chart.
Original Silver Camel press - practically immaculate bar some spine wear and someone called 'Mel' discreetly writing their name on the sleeve. Couldn't believe my eyes when I found it in among some Third World and Black Uhuru LPs. Had great pleasure adding it to my collectable vinyl chart...
