Just out of curiosity, do you feel the same about Rage Against the Machine?

Same kind of lack of subtlety and self-awareness yeah (albeit with slightly less bombast), but for some reason RATM's blunt polemic doesn't rub me quite the wrong way as much as Muse's. Still far from my favorite thing in the world

Your victim act is unbecoming. You expressed genuine disbelief at what I was saying, so I expanded my explanation. I don't think Muse fans are necessarily stark-raving right-wingers. In fact, I see them as the self-important liberal side of that coin, along with your mentioned RATM. The comparison with Alex Jones was more about the self-seriousness, the Messiah complex, and the general gesticulations about a new world order. I don't think that themes about government surveillance, multinational corporations, etc. are handled very well by either figure, mainly because their narratives are vague to the point of analytic uselessness. It's just happenstance that Muse's work is also aesthetically flat and dull.

Hmmm... somehow that got communicated wrong. I honestly feel like you are much smarter than me and I wasn't getting what you were saying. Not as a victim, but honestly trying to understand and it honestly blew my mind of how you saw the issue at so many levels at the same time... thoughts that I didn't think of. So yes maybe I felt a little sheepish in understanding, but a victim or like you were attacking me or I you... not at all.

Sorry if that came across that way.

Oh! Okay, sorry for misreading, and sorry if I came across as curt!

This I can totally agree with. I feel they are talented, but really just follow the same formula for, what, over 10 years?

This is the front picture of an album from the late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal that was released in 2001. I prefer a real shot of him instead of a drawing.

God bless you and his family always!!!

Holly

P.S. I don't know why, but the album was apparently released again later on with this shot as the front picture which is actually one of my favorites of him. I love when his guitar is in front of him. ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ˜„
