Thought it might be a good idea to have a similar thread that we have in the lounge here in the music forum. Basically it's a free-for-all, any topic, question, concern, thing you're excited about or general idea you want to discuss, anything musically-related that doesn't really need it's own thread, as there has seem to bit too many new threads overflooding this forum section recently. and they blow. Hired a touring bass player who sexually assaulted a girl and has admitted it, and are deciding to defend him with the "we don't know all the facts yet" bs. They've got like 24 hours to open their eyes and apologize and actually do something of consequence to fix this but it's awful.

Props to Mayday Parade for flat out just going "nope" and kicking them off this upcoming tour though.

does anybody own a badass (non-usb) turntable setup through which super HQ vinyl flac could be ripped? And would that person be open to my sending them a record so that they can rip said record and give me the files? You can keep the record

This is the record. Dude on what.cd is offering over 100gb bounty for it and I own the thing just no way to rip it with any kind of real quality. Might upload a shitty usb rip as a placeholder and then trump it with the better one once I know I'll be able to do that. I'd happily download basically any amount of music on your behalf if you can help me nail this bounty, and as far as I can tell the record is pretty rare and you could keep that (this is assuming I don't first figure out a solution that doesn't involve shipping costs)

Alright, this was something we did as mixes back ten years ago on Gaiaonline but with the advent of Spotify I think I could repurpose the idea. The thought is someone makes a twenty to thirty minute playlist not necessarily tailored to anyone in particular— and someone listens to it and discuss the songs individually before continuing the chain. Is this something I should flesh out and post as its own thing?

We'd use spotify and we could transform it into a sort of playlist version of ALC or we can continue its format like the "album above you". What do you think?
