Have begun wading through The Epic by Kasmasi Washington and it's excellent so far.
Bought it at his Prince of Wales concert on Tuesday night and it's easily one of the best live performances I've been to. Taking you to places you'll never go in a rock concert .Fantastic collaborative effort on stage with not a backing band but more than half a dozen artists as impressive as Kasmasi himself and many with their own fledgling careers. Also many fascinating stories told throughout asvthe nucleus of the band have known each other since they were 3, 4 years old.
They're doing Byron Bay Blues Fest in a couple of days then back to the US for a number of dates. Catch these guys as this is jazz royalty at the beginning of it's reign.
