Been doing a spot of record shopping out here. So far I've picked up the following albums:

Steve Arrington - The Jammin' National Anthem
Blu & Exile - Below the Heavens
Anthony Braxton - Alto Saxophone Improvisations 1979
Julie Byrne - Rooms with Walls and Windows
Jack DeJohnette's Directions - Cosmic Chicken
George Duke - Master of the Game
Harald Grosskopf - Synthesist
Fela Kuti & the Africa 70 - Roforofo Fight
The Lox - Money, Power & Respect
Sam Rivers - Hues
UGK - Ridin' Dirty
Weather Report - Tale Spinnin'

Happy with my findings so far. Gonna keep hunting.

Both on vinyl.

Stratosphere by Duster

Super rare, super expensive, super cult post-rock album. Gorgeous delight.

CD - which was difficult enough. I bought it for something like $35 on amazon (the lowest I have ever seen of it).
The disc itself is near mint. The digipack had an ugly old sticker on the front which explains the lower price. But I got that cleaned off and I have this beauty in my collection now. ๐Ÿ˜

Great stuff. Been keeping an eye out for this on wax but cheapest it's going for is like ยฃ200. Keep hoping it'll turn up at some car boot sale for a quid... Though I very much doubt it.

Am I going straight to hell for signing up for Spotify Premium? hehe... I got it last month so I could listen to like 300 hours of music without interruptions. I still buy vinyl when I can travel to my favorite shops. Unfortunately where I live the Grey Whale went out of business :(.

Randy's Records and Ameoba Music usually eat up about $20-$50

I was thinking though... as much of a music lover as I was growing up... I was too poor to not buy used, so the record company, etc. never saw my money anyway.

Now that I buy the occasional vinyl from Amazon new or Premium... that's probably the most money that directly goes towards them... pretty sad I suppose?

More used CDs, keep 'em coming. For โ‚ฌ12 altogether:

1967-1970 by The Beatles

Which I already own on vinyl but can't etc etc you know the story. Thinking mainly of getting the kid to listen to some Beatles, perfect start, as it was the first vinyl LP that was offered to me by my mother way back when. Family tradition/transmission whatever.

Shaft by Isaac Hayes

The Sound Of Sonny by Sonny Rollins

Revolution Of The Mind: Recorded Live At The Apollo, Vol. III by James Brown

Very happy with that loot, bit more expensive than usual, still quite cheap. Keep forgetting CDs people.
