Anyone seen Milo live? He's apparently coming soon but his website is so bare-bones I thought it was a different "Milo". I feel like he'd either be lifechangingly good or really uncomfortable live, thoughts? _________________

I think touring with the Hellfyre dudes will have been one of the boot camps - in terms of live performance - that you could possibly have in hip-hop. Nocando came up in the battle rap scene, Busdriver has been putting on incendiary live shows for years, and as a stand-up comedian Mike Eagle has a really relaxed manner - all three really seem like they know how to make a crowd feel involved, and if Milo has picked up anything from the three of them then my guess is that he puts on a pretty solid live show. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

a shame that all fell apart... anyway, I'll actually be seeing him live myself fairly soon. From what I've heard he puts on a good show (usually with some other dope alt-hop-hop dudes handling the turntables and whatnot) and he's been known to hand out exclusive mixtape cassettes at his shows, so there's a bonus right there.
Would've killed to see all of together Hellfyre when they were all still pals...
Huh, thanks guys! I know he's friends with Cam Boucher and they've done some random shows together that I would've gone to in a heartbeat but I hadn't heard of any of the people he's touring with this time, so that's all good info/advice.

Yep ๐
long story short there was some massive fuck up with Milo receiving payment for the sales of Toothpaste Suburb (he actually encouraged fans to pirate the album since he wasn't seeing any profit anyway), and Nocando was basically a total dick about the whole thing and said some really mean stuff to Milo on twitter, Busdriver and OME just kinda seemed really sad about the whole thing but made allusions that it might be a little more complicated (but that Nocan was indeed behaving inappropriately). Milo moved back to Wisconsin after kinda being crushed that this gig with his heroes didn't work out, and currently Nocando is the only of those major 4 Hellfyre dudes still on the label (although technically Flash Bang Grenada, which is a duo consisting of Nocan and Busdriver, are still listed as being on the Hellfyre roster, but they haven't released anything under that name in awhile).
Also might have something to do with the fact that as soon as Anderson .Paak started getting mainstream popularity, Nocan (owning the label and all) just kinda dropped everything with Milo et all (possibly resulting in the monetary fuck ups) to focus on his new profitable golden boy
