I have mixed emotions about this album, and I know I'm not the only one.
"Foreign Tongues" is tough to evaluate because it can be at times really brilliant and other times a bit cringe, sometimes in the same song... Perfect example is "Never wanna loose you". The song is great, the break is really good, but the chorus is super annoying... The same can be said about a couple other tracks on here, I really had some trouble with choruses on this album...
I usually like Keith's songs a lot but I"m sorry to say that "Some of us" is the weakest song on the album... Despite that, the second half of Foreign Tongues is significantly better than the first, and contains the best songs on the record ("Side Effects" is the crown jewel for me).
Songs are dragging a bit too long, but overall the album is good enough and very impressive considering the age of those guys. The album cover and overall design of the album is superb, really, I'd give a 10 only for that (That may be the reason I bought the album, actually) So yeah in the end, not a all-time Top 10 Stones album, but maybe between 11 and 15, which is still pretty good.
