2016 Albums

I thought I'd start it before all your busters. Here's where you post about 2016 albums you've listened to (I guess). I haven't listened to any, but I'm especially looking forward to Kitty's Miami Garden Club (missed a party from her in Miami last night :(), Brokencyde's All Grown Up (which may have me completely reappraise my "fandom"), and Hayden's follow-up to 2012's Manner (love ya, Bro, but you really gotta listen to the album I sent you <3).

Boosie's fifth full-length of the year, Bleek Mode (Thug In Peace Lil Bleek), dropped yesterday, and from what I've heard it sounds excellent.

Good lord, 5?! I dig Touch Down 2 Cause Hell but I don't think I'll keep up with 5 more new ones.. What's his best one?

The new Chance mixtape is ok. Might be a slight downgrade from his 2013 effort... but it's certainly a decent release. I'm not necessarily disappointed, but I did hope for something slightly grander. What do you guys think?

hey so I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys digs the darkened passion and intensity of Billy Woods and the hard-hitting yet moody/kinda subtle production of Vince Staples and Earl Sweatshirt (and similar). And maybe with a hint of Milo's last album. In any case it's great. Likely to be dug by Rocky, Mecca, maybe Dave, and maybe Skinny

There really isn't a lot to choose between the best two, Out My Feelings (In My Past) and Thug Talk, but I would recommend the latter first.

Views is actually growing on me, thank God. I think it's a rare case of the sum of its parts is greater than the whole, instead of the other way around.

And on another note, the new Bey is album of the year for me as of now. 6 Inch, Sandcastles, Freedom, All Night, and Formation won it over for me.

Agree, also liked the keyboard on the Mike Dean track (love drought). Very FKA Twigs.

Velvet Portraits by Terrace Martin

So this is amazing. A jazzy album with elements of hip-hop and soul, featuring the likes of Kamasi Washington and Thundercat. Really fantastic album, check it out. Highly recommended to the likes of skinny, dbz, mecca, pretty much anyone who really dug Kamasi's solo effort.
