John Wesley Harding - Bob Dylan ... One of Dylan's best after peaking with Blonde On Blonde, and before that, Highway 61 Revisited. In a sense, JWH is a culmination of his folk period prior to Bringing it all Back Home
After the Rain - Michael Jones ... One of the most beautiful new age albums. A masterpiece of piano driven melody.
Blood on the Tracks - Bob Dylan ... Somewhat overrated IMO but still pretty great and one of his better works post-1966
5 tracks in, and yes, while I was skeptical as regards the whole "his best in years" discourse than generally comes out everytime an old flame releases a new album, I must say I also think it's actually his best in a very long time.
