i agree that not every one knows the Pixies even some people who pretend to listen to rock.
but Doolittle is:
21# in overall BEA chart.
20# in the overall chart of rateyourmusic (The Joshua Tree 833#)
59# most acclaimed album by the critics according to acclaimedmusic (38#)
226# in the RS 500 (The Joshua Tree 26#, RS tend to overrate anything by U2).
that's a classic for me, or let say for people who have even a small knowledge about music.
