Freddie Gibbs new one dropped yesterday and it's excellent. And it's still not the best hip-hop album released yesterday. And I think Gibbs is the best rapper alive. But jeez the boy Kodak Black came through. Serious AotY contender. He just floats over beats. Laidback, drugged out production, and Kodak coming like a smoother Boosie. His hooks are ridiculous, his verses even better. Young Kodak is the real fucking deal.

Hard to believe that nearly (imho) all the best bands of the decade are releasing albums this year.: Fleet Foxes, The National, alt-j, Spoon and Arcade Fire. Wow. My head might explode. (And I know, I know none of those bands is cool anymore.) _________________ Top Canadian songs, keyless entry remotes, home care, whatever...

With a new job, I've had way way less listening time than I used to. It's a real bummer. And I've really not been blown away by any releases this year. It may just be my state of mind though.
Could use some under the radar suggestions from the folks who know me.
I agree with Rolling Blackout Coastal Fever which is currently my favorite of 2017. Other good ones and completely under the radar are the new Feelies, Tobin Sprout and Sadies. Not completely under the radar but still very good: the new Cloud Nothings and Real Estate.
And btw thx for the very good tip on Aloha Hola!

Arca 'bout to drop the best post-experimental electronic Spanish opera album of the decade. Really incredible stuff. Never thought he'd take that turn. _________________ Doubles & Conch
