If just studio, the correct answer is Buckethead and it is not even close. Some other prolific guys not mentioned Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir. Especially if considering all the live recordings. Then Weir actually has more than Buckethead available as released material. Almost all his ratdog, furthur , solo, WRG Trio, and post grateful dead (Dead and now dead and Company Shows) are or were available for purchase (on Cd as well as download) as well as all his vintage solo stuff and grateful dead material. So for Studio its Buckethead for just available recordings released it is Bob Weir. Not to mention live releases by other bands Weir appears with including The Allman Brothers (several instant lives), String Cheese Incident (several nugs.net releases from 2006), and Phish (live phish 2016 release).

I'll stick with Bob Weir. Ratdog alone has 384 releases. Furthur has hundreds of releases Dead and Dead And Company close to a couple hundred. Solo he is around 50-100. Then bobby midnights king fish, weir wasserman, night food close to another 50+ including imports. Then the grateful Dead who have hundreds of releases throw in imports and the number is staggering as most of their live performances that still exist were released on some form of "Import" Cd. And as I mentioned he appears on live recordings released by numerous artists including ABB, SCI, Phish, and others.

If he wasn't so prolific in output around his funk prime of the early 70s and saved all the best music for under his own moniker, he would have released albums to compete with the best. High quality stuff from this period with JBs, soundtracks, Lynn Collins etc, all the People stuff. Anyone can be prolific with a load of shit. For prolific with stuff worth hearing then I'd say brown around this period.

Right, when some people release a fuck- ton of stuff, it seems more like a stunt than anything else
