Here's a bonus for this week courtesy of a bizarre youtube channel that has uploaded countless records of obscure music of the industrial, experimental, crazy variety. I strongly suggest listening to his other stuff as well I just am currently listening to this one. It's 59 minutes of noise so just be prepared to sit and indulge a little bit.
I have thought about uploading a lot of his stuff to the site, but the information is hard to come by.
Really digging this, has a light touch to it but keeps things full and active. love this sort of electroacoustic type of noise where you get the constant activity but with the form holding on something long enough for it to register and then pushing forward to the next development, so you get that cohesiveness but with a sort of momentum where the music doesn't feel fast exactly, but like the act of listening itself has this sort of feeling like jaunting forward in time, a real sonic adventure. thanks for the heads up!

Thanks, I think that is the blog that guy gets a lot of his uploads from. I have listened to several of the albums on his channel, and I have been pleasantly surprised with most.
These make me want to strap on a jetpack, and fly into deep space to discover new alien lifeforms to do battle with anime style. I'm so pumped right now after listening to this first album. The playlist is unfortunately in the wrong order, but it's also available on Spotify.
I found this album after falling into a Spotify wormhole. I really have no idea how I got to this point, but I'm happy I did. The band consists of Gary Lucas, guitarist for Captain Beefheart's band, Tony Maimone, bassist for Pere Ubu, and Steve Goulding, a drummer for bands like The Asscoiates and The Mekons.
As you can imagine, this is kind of a strange album. It's basically 90's sounding (production wise) rock, but with a musicality and oddball nature that make it a little more unique.
The three stand-out tracks for me are; "We Know Your Secrets", "Brain From Planet Eros", "It's Happening Again".
BTW I think I am the only listens for Spotify for this album currently which I can't say about anything else.
An experimental Italian album of Gregorian Chanting mixed with electronic music.
I like the 2nd track the and the 4th track the most. The rest is pretty strange as you can imagine. One track is missing though, the longest one. I wish I could find it somewhere.
If you are unfamiliar with the production of 9th Wonder, then this album will serve as a nice introduction for one of the best hip hop and R & B producers of the 21st century. It's a little overlong, and as good as the production is it does get stale sometimes. I enjoy producer albums like these because all of the features can introduce you to some other great MC's you've never heard of before. Members of Wu Tang, Warren G, and even a young Kendrick appear on this record.
Best Tracks: Enjoy, Loyalty, Now I'm Being Cool, No Pretending, 20 Feet Tall
This album should be listened to purely based on the outrageous concept behind it. These are 10 "hits" made by fake bands that died in the apocalypse. The sisters that make up the band are "channeling" those bands to cover these forgotten songs. It's a cavalcade of synth pop tropes and silliness, and as long as you don't have a stick too far up yourself, I think there is some fun to be had with this album.

I can't believe how this album barely has any ratings or chart placement. Easily some of the best work that either two artists have done in their careers.
For such a small country, Senegal is brimming with great music. This is some classic stuff right here. I don't know how someone could not find joy in this kind of music.
