Hey janetjakcson thanks for the selections. Although 1964 is a great year (Out To Lunch is one of my absolute favorite jazz albums and The Times They Are-A Changing is one of Dylan's most underrated) it isn't an option in this thread so I can't count any points towards it. Yeah, '64 was awesome, especially on the jazz side.

In addition to the aforementioned Out to Lunch, there's Art Blakey's Free For All, Lee Morgan's Search for the New Land, Grant Green's Matador, Blue Mitchell's The Thing to Do, Kenny Burrell's Soul Call, Herbie Hancock's Empyrian Isles, Wayne Shorter's Speak No Evil, Horace Silver's Song for My Father, Tony Williams' Life Time, and Andrew Hill's Point of Departure. So many classics and game changers from that year.
