Really dig Del's diction (both meanings of the word). Great rapping. Concept and music is pretty good. I have to admit though, about half way through it I lost interest. Maybe not enough sonic dynamic? Idk... Probably still give it 80-85 though because the rapping is great and the music itself wasn't bad and at times good, but never something that revved me up... or down.

The 2nd album titled 'ill Visions' started off a bit slow, and it had too many interludes, but it picked up some steam by the end. I know a lot of Canadian rap now, at least.
Luigii, The Argument is my favorite Fugazi album. They grew a lot from their hardcore punk days. Too bad it's probably the last album they'll ever release.
Seth barely beat me, so you get another rec. Before this list becomes clogged with metal again, let's have you listen to Dissection. I like it pretty well.

I wasn't thinking I would love this album that much. But as of now, it's one of my personal favorites for this year as of now. Hell I'm on my second listen as I type this and I can't really think of anything that would make me hate it. Maybe vocally though I don't mind the vocals. It might be the lyrics though nothing is standing out as awful. But as of now this is a top 5 contender. Will it last. Probably not. But as of now this slaps and hopefully can get more spins later on. Grade:95

#26 Rings Around The World-Super Furry Animals
G-Simm is a good MC, but the first track was bad. Whoever was singing on it was not good, and the beat was a little weak. After the 3rd track it got much better.

What I found interesting about this album was that for an album that should be showcasing the vocals and harmonies - the drumming, and to a lesser extent the other instrumentation, was very dominant. I mean the prominence of the drumming on so Young was WTF? Now I sort of liked that but the appeal started to wear off after so Young and all I was left with appeal wise was some familiarity every now and again (I still enjoy Chapel Of Love, a song I fondly remember hearing on the radio a lot and singing along to when I was a young kid). This is definitely not normally my thing, and I would not have been the target audience for music like this at any time, but the lyrics made me cringe. Having "baby" in the title for three song in a row was just too much for me. 7/10, 6/7 for 1964, and 92/98 for the 60's.

That would be the famous and influential Wall of Sound, pioneered by super producer and total scumbag Phil Spector. Also I 99% guarantee this is not the Chapel Of Love you remember. The Dixie Cups have the definitive version.
Btw, my 60s chart is very inaccurate/incomplete (hence closed to ratings) and is disproportionately composed of girl group music that you probably won't like if you didn't like this one, which is the cream of the crop. Also I'll have to make a YouTube playlist if someone assigns you either of the Shangri-Las albums. _________________ Join us in the canon game :) / Add me on RYM

WOW... this was actually really good. I believed the vocals - they were way more passionate and portrayed my distortion field of reality better for this vocal style. The instrumentation was fast but I didn't feel like I was listening to alvin and the chipmonks like sometimes Slayer makes me feel like... probably the most solid metal album I've listened to so far. Solid 85.
2. Wild Honey by The Beach Boys... although I'm not a big fan of this album... but maybe you'll be :).

Very zany indie pop album that toys with a bunch of different styles. It's quite a good album on the strength of all the ideas, but I wish it had more satisfying hooks and/or vocals. 3.5/5.
