When will this be moderated? It's not even out yet and it's already ranked higher than Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
It leaked (albeit in poor quality), and all the ratings are since the leak. So it's not a clear-cut case of moderation needed. People who aren't stans will wait to listen until the official release, and then the rating will go down. _________________ Join us in the canon game / Add me on RYM
@albummaster How prevalent is it that accounts are created to artificially boost album ratings?
Activity fluctuates. The site tries to catch as much of this as possible but sometimes ratings/charts slip through the net (& it's not always clear-cut that gaming is going on, even after checking thoroughly). When gaming is identified, the accounts are normally banned and the ratings disallowed. Generally speaking, gaming is a problem across the whole internet and not just on BEA (Amazon reviews, TripAdvisor etc), so we just have to minimise the effects as much as we can (I don't think it's possible to prevent it entirely).
