I think you should do the 1 album per artist thingy but I can sorta understand why you wouldn't. Definitley do comments. |
I seriously think that people who do that just want to get higher average rating. I mean if I would do that, then I would put on stuff like VU & Nico, Since I Left You, ITAOTS, etc. + I would only have one album by Pink Floyd and Radiohead each instead of 9 between them in my top 20 which would definitely help me get a higher average. But I just don't feel like putting those albums on the chart and excluding some of my favourites (like WYWH, The Bends, Kid A, Isn't Anything, ...). I mean I'd rather help these albums get higher scores and a higher overall rank than put on the ones I mentioned before so my chart can get praise for being "eclectic"..
I will however not include certain albums that are in the bottom part of my chart and are by artists that are already well represented on the chart (I mean I wouldn't want to be excluded from the "chart of the day" criteria due to being a "fanboy" right 😁 ).
BTW, Foxbase Alpha got another vote (for 11-10) here before Silver Apples.. Should it win, or should we wait some more as there's no way to prove it?

I woke up and checked 6 hours after your post, Loveless, and the votes were tied at 11-11 again. perhaps if it's still tied by the end of the day I'll post Foxbase as the winner

I don't agree with the one album per artist, The Who are one of my favourite bands but apart from Live AT Leeds and Who's Next i don't really like any of their albums that much.

I like more songs by them than nearly any other band, so they are.
