More often than not the album of the day is an album I know already. Have albums that appear in more charts a higher chance of becoming album of the day? If yes, doesn't that kinda ruin the idea of album of the day? 'Cause I would like to find new music through it, but now that doesn't seem to be the case.
Hi, the same album can't be repeated within a three year period and that's the only restriction in terms of which albums can be selected, but because AOTD is based on albums appearing in charts, the selected album will never be super obscure. The three year period could be increased to improve the diversity of selections, but the AOTD feature also exists for the audience of people who are not so familiar with these albums so it's about getting the right balance.
