in fact most of the "extreme punk" i like is emotive hardcore-touched in some way outside of maybe grindcore stuff

I noticed from yourcharts that you're clearly more into screamo than I am. I drift through whatever punk albums I feel like, so I relatively have basics from many punk genres down. I admit that I'm a fan of pop punk and I love Jeff Rosenstock and Blink-182.

I grew up around a lot of it, even shit like some Bowling for Soup, so I find it really easy to listen to. It's good background music that doesn't demand much attention so I listen to more pop punk than I probably should.
