Was gifted a German early pressing. Sounds fucking great. Honestly, I'm totally in love with this album at the moment. I used to think it was a bit cheesy and predictable, but I was so, so wrong. Then again, I'm wrong most of the time.
High value sometimes too... and yes this is probs my favorite of both CSN and Young (which maybe is wrong for me to say for Young, but it jams for me).

I picked this up today because it was like 10% off... anyone else hate how much the price of vinyl fluctuates more than oil? It's like there's a hidden OPEC for vinyl prices out there... 🤣
Landed these two on vinyl before we go back into lockdown, the overall aim being to get my top 100 on vinyl someday (despite it being subject to significant change and something I'll probably never be fully happy with), anyway, can't see these two leaving it any time soon, but both have a place in my heart for very different reasons so in they go. _________________

Sounds familiar Pat (happy new year to you by the way)! It’s been such a long time since I overhauled my overall chart that I wonder if I’d still have them all now after having painstakingly curated the lot previously (including a couple - One, Two and Long Season - I thought I had a snowball’s chance in hell of nabbing).
As it is I’m listening to more and more compilations these days. Have got a stack recently, the majority of which isn’t likely listed on here (a couple of Numero’s Eccentric Soul collections, the immense Black Riot jungle set from Soul Jazz, some new Studio One sets and plenty of roots and dancehall vibes). Also picked this up just before lockdown, seeing as Sault are about the only band that released music I genuinely cared about last year:

Speculate to accumulate Kiki. I’ve picked up about 130 odd LPs this year (much lower than usual for obvious reasons) but sold around 50 or so that I either no longer listen to or bought purely on impulse as they were cheap, didn’t see myself caring if I parted with them and thought I could make a little profit from and reinvest.
Example - bought an album a few months back by Ernest Ranglin (famous Jamaican guitarist) for £9. Not listed on Discogs and thought it was worth taking a punt on. Anyway, it was rubbish. So instead of keeping it I stuck it on for sale for a ridiculous amount (£150) and reduced it incrementally until someone bit. Which they did. At £100.
There’s also some good Facebook auction groups (picked up a £70 Stereolab 7” for 8 quid from one) and record fairs (when they’ve been on) continue to be a happy hunting ground. Just don’t buy your records off Amazon or from HMV, but instead trawl through the second hand sections in independent record shops, and pop into antique shops, flea markets and charity shops every so often as you never know (still can’t get over finding an early pressing of Kind Of Blue at the Cats Protection League for £1.99 a couple of years back).

Yeah, I definitely recall you talking about this before, impressive stuff, I'll never be fully happy with my overall chart I guess (and like you there's definitely some albums in my chart I never expect to get my hands on, there's a Crytearions album on my chart that's barely available online, nevermind physically), but I guess it's almost about the hunt more than anything, I generally don't go out of my way to find them and I still pick up my fair share of stuff not on my charts that I love, just can't resist when I stumble across something like the above, very jealous of Long Season btw, been loving it lately! _________________
