Both new artists for me as well. I didn't listen to as much jazz in 2022 as I would've liked. Easy vote for Alabaster DePlume that was a really chill track and I added to entire album to my shortlist as a result. Didn't care all that much for the Orcutt track.

Bill Orcutt is a true master of his craft, I really appreciate this nomination, but there’s no doubt in my mind I’ll go with my guy.
