Fantastic LP, traumatic beauty rarely find elsewhere and, imo, her only album really worth close attention.
I'm presumably in the minority on this, but while Happiness (the one she did just before this one, and preferably the 4AD version) isn't as pretty, to me it's just as good if not better. And really, folks who like songs that are more upbeat should like it a lot better.
Admittedly, "Cry Wolf" may be her best song ever, it's not upbeat at all, and it's on this album, not that one. So hey, what do I know.
