ガンスターヒーローズ [Gunstar Heroes] (2017) by NON (JP)

This soundtrack was composed for the video game back in 1993, yet an official audio release for it was only released in 2017 on vinyl by Data Discs.

This soundtrack has an FM Synthesis sound with Japanese jazz fusion melodies as many Japanese VGM has been influenced by those 80's J-jazz acts, however, the instruments sound like loud industrial sounds, which makes this soundtrack really unique and it's really a genius combination of sounds that fits the game's style!
The drumming is also really interesting and jackhammer-sounding-like, and the melodies are unusual-sounding but in a good way with some odd time signatures, unique chord progressions and sometimes some dissonant chords.

The loudness of the compositions is due to NON (Norio Hanzawa) composing for the Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis) for the first time, and in his own words the video game console's hardware was new to him at the time, so that's how the music turned out to sound, but i.m.o. this loudness is one of the components which makes this music really thrilling.

It is not similar to most music II've ever listened to!
You should check it out if you like Industrial music, Jazz Fusion, Progressive Rock and/or IDM/EDM.

Bonus section + About the video game and its production:

Gunstar Heroes is the very first game the Japanese video game company Treasure produced, which was co-founded by former Konami employees.
And like how Konami was known for their Run 'n' Gun game "Contra", Treasure made also made "Gunstar Heroes" to be a Run 'n' Gun game but more modernized with unique gimmicks and pixelized puppet animation visuals.
Since it was their first game, there was a lot of pressure producing it, but it eventually turned out to be one of the most well-received Sega Mega Drive game of all time and one of the best Run 'n' Gun games ever made.

Peaky Blinders (The Official Soundtrack) (2019) by Various Artists

Yes, it's got tracks like Red Right Hand (Nick Cave & TBS) and Pyramid Song (Radiohead) which we are all pretty familiar with but it's also got some phenomenal tracks but less well know artists, one of my personal favourites is Anna Calvi, and takes on tracks that you may not have heard before like PJ Harvey's version of Red Right Hand.

It's one of the few soundtracks that fits the show in which it appears seamlessly. I adore this soundtrack and so proud that the show is set in the city that I love, my home town of Birmingham.
