BEA has never really had a problem with the amount of guests on the site. Since I joined the guests have usually been in the hundreds and the ratio of registered users to guests is 1:20. My idea is that for guests viewing the website there should be constant reminders to register for the site _________________ One evening 1945 -
At the moment, many aspects of the site are taking a back seat because pretty much all my available time is spent on the technical and support/maintenance elements of BEA (i,e. keeping the site running and improving the functionality).
FWIW, this is the current copy (minus the formatting and graphics):

This is another reason why the site needs to be worked on full-time. BEA has completely outgrown the spare-time hobby it started out as. Unfortunately, the promotional and marketing side of BEA is one of many neglected areas because my time is currently spread too thinly.
at the moment, there are about 200-300 new users a month signing up, and that number has been pretty consistent for a while.
Yes, probably need to design some better nag-screens and improve the copywriting etc. I sometimes get a bit too close to the site to get a stranger's view of it, so the bullets might not be the most attractive benefits of BEA to an outsider.
