She's not in every album's critic list or a mainstream artist.

Overrated??? I would say Underrated!!!
Here on BEA her albums are too low ...
But how can anyone say she isn't slightly over-rated?
These artists are all lower than her on our charts:
Elliott Smith & Belle & Sebastian are right under her.
Daft Punk
Talk Talk
Charles Mingus
LCD Soundsystem
Roxy Music
Outkast
Can
The Shins
Wu-Tang Clan
Jay-Z
Godspeed! You
... etc...
The difference between her and those other artists, except maybe roxy music, is that she has released at least 6 highly regarded albums as opposed to the one to three essential albums of all of these other artists. she can boast both quality and quantity in her career as opposed to these other artists.

6?!?!? 😲 What 6 are these? The only one I've ever seen regarded as a classic is 'Rid Of Me'.
LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk & Wu-Tang don't have the biggest discographies ever...But they've all released better work than PJ.
